For two weeks in August, from 9AM to 4PM, an art gallery in Brooklyn will become a family friendly pop-up maker space. Each day at the NYC Makery, we will host workshops and classes around technology, art, crafts, and making. Come explore, experiment, and tinker for two weeks of fun and education.

Activities at the NYC Makery are intended for youth ages 8 and up.  

Students can be signed up for any combination of full day, half day, or full week workshops

Students learn about computer programming, electronics, video game design, 3D design, and Makerbot 3D printing. On a given day, student projects could include building a wind turbine, prototyping a robotic arm, or creating a digital music instrument. Next, class, they might make a silk screen for a tee shirt, an interactive poster for their bedroom, or design and print a toy on a 3D printer. The programming at the NYC Makery adapts to the interests and capabilities of the students and ensures that participants will work on projects that are personally meaningful and relevant to their interests.
