MEDIA ARTS

 

Stop-Motion Animation 101: Ages 8 to Adult
Mondays 6 – 8 p.m.
Location: Guadalupe Gallery, Studio 1, 723 S. Brazos
Instructor: Eric Fonseca

 

Award-winning San Antonio filmmaker Eric Fonseca shares his unique techniques on bringing animation to life. Don’t miss this special opportunity to explore an eloquent art from that dates back to the early days of cinema.

Tech Caldo: Social Media Networking (y mas) for the Creative EntrepreneurTeens and Adults

Wednesdays 6 – 8 p.m.  
Location: Guadalupe Gallery, Studio 1, 723 S. Brazos

Instructors: Jeanette Honermann, Beverly Ingle, Jonathan Marcus, and Matt Stigliano

Intended audience and Objective: For established local-business owners, a progressive series focused to assist the creative community: to offer guidance in leveraging Internet-based technologies in business endeavors.

Registration fee: $25 GCAC Membership | Tuition: $150 per semester

 

Cine en el Barrio: Ages 16 and Up
Saturdays 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Location: Guadalupe Gallery, Studio 1, 723 S. Brazos
Instructor: Gabriel Luna

This class offers San Antonio youth the opportunity to learn the craft of digital filmmaking. From storyboarding to the silver screen, an award-winning director guides students in the development and creation of their own projects.

Registration Fee: $25 GCAC Membership | Tuition: $150 per semester

 

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):

Who can attend classes?
Classes are open to the public. Unless otherwise noted, most classes are geared towards students who are new to the subject matter, at the beginner level.

How do I pay my monthly tuition for Dance or Music classes?
Payments can be made:
(1) by calling the main office at 210.271.3151,
(2) by mail at 1300 Guadalupe Street, San Antonio, TX 78207, or
(3) online.

Are there any discounts?
GCAC Members at the Familia level ($55) receive a 15% discount on the cost of classes.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?
The GCAC reserves the right to cancel, combine or reschedule classes, or to change class instructors when necessary. If we must cancel a class, we will notify you as soon as possible and you will receive a full refund. If you must cancel registration, we require a minimum of seven days notice prior to the class start date for a full refund. Notice of withdrawal by a student must be made in writing and received no later than seven days prior to the first day of class. We charge a $20 administrative fee for any cancellations requested less than seven days prior to the start of the class. No refunds will be made for withdrawals made after the start date of a class. Failure to attend classes or verbal notification will not be regarded as an official notice of withdrawal. The registration fee of $25 for your membership is nonrefundable.

What are the main office hours?
The main office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on all major holidays.

Will I get to perform at the end of the session?
Classes will culminate in a presentation of work via an exhibition or a performance.

PAYMENT FOR ALL CLASSES: Full payment is due upon enrollment. The GCAC accepts checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). Payments can be made at 210.271.3151, through the mail (1300 Guadalupe Street, SA TX, 78207) or online via our web site: www.guadalupeculturalarts.org.

Students can register at the Guadalupe offices located at 1300 Guadalupe Street or online at www.guadalupeculturalarts.org. All participants must have a current GCAC membership at the $25 level.
