Previous FSI courses (Developing Corporate Relationships, Understanding Statutory Funding, Successful Events) have taught the processes by which small charities can actively foster support from other organisations. This course will help you to maximise your effectiveness in implementing these processes by teaching you additional skills that will improve your ability to call target companies and enroll them to your cause.
Target Audience
This course is for anyone who has previously attended either of the three courses above. It is ideal for anyone who would like to enhance their telephone skills to ramp up the return on their investment in time in this area. You will be currently actively seeking support (even if very unsuccessfully) and looking for ways to make it both easier and more effective.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, you will know:
What to say. Including knowing how pitch your ideas, question to build commitment, get past gatekeepers and overcome objections.
How to say it and when. Communicating more naturally and effectively, including learning specific listening skills, effective language structuring and knowing how to manage your tone, pace and volume, is crucial to developing strong rapport – the bedrock of any relationship.
How to manage your mindset. Our thoughts in our head fundamentally dictate our experience of life. Learning how to manage what is going on in your head will enable you to bounce back from rejection, and actually find cold calling an easy and fulfilling activity. With the right mindset, your ability to obtain support will also sky-rocket.
How to build an effective plan and get fully behind it. Reconnect with your true purpose, decide on long-term objectives and then establish a plan that will be both simple to follow and will ensure you achieve your targets.
