TOPIC: ENGINEER’S WITHOUT BORDERS HONDURAS WATER PROJECT

SPEAKER : DANIEL RAMEY, EWB CHAPTER PRESIDENT

At this annual luncheon EWB-OC would like to thank its most consistent partner and supporter, ASCE by presenting about the Honduras Water Project.  The Project faces engineering challenges and introduces new opportunities for civil engineers.  In addition, EWB-OC will provide a summary of the overall accomplishments over the last year and future of the Chapter.

About the speaker:

Mr. Daniel Ramey has four years of operations and engineering experience with Johnson & Johnson.  He started his career in the two year Global Operations Leadership Development Program where he completed three eight month rotations in operating companies specializing in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and consumer products.  After the completion of this program he moved to Orange County to work for Advanced Sterilization Products, another Johnson and Johnson medical device company.  It was at this time he joined the Orange County Professional Chapter of EWB (EWB-OC).  He served as the Operations Lead for the footbridge project and traveled to Kenya to ensure timely completion of the final implementation phase.  In February 2011, Mr. Ramey was elected President of EWB-OC.

NOTE that our December 2011 lunch will be on the 2nd Tuesday instead of the usual 3rd Tuesday of the month.
