Company Time: A Buddhist Retreat for People Working in the Business World - (May/GGF)
Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 10:00 AM (PDT)
Muir Beach, CA
Company Time, begun in 1996, is a gathering of people from diverse professions and occupations, and all realms of private, corporate, government, for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Company Time retreats do not propose easy solutions, but do provide time and tools to address our questions in an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality. Based on the ethical precepts of Mahayana Buddhism, we share insights and ideas on how we can bring a spirit of honesty, integrity, and clarity from our spiritual practice into our workplaces and provide support for each other to take up our livelihoods in a wholehearted way. Our schedule includes light yoga, gentle meditation, teachings, large and small group discussions, and time to enjoy a walk at Green Gulch Farm. Newcomers to Buddhist practice are welcome.
Lunch and tea are included.
Marc Lesser is CEO of ZBA Associates LLC, a company providing executive coaching, workshop, and facilitation services. He is the founder and former CEO of Brush Dance Publishing. He was a resident of the San Francisco Zen Center for 10 years, was director of Tassajara, and is a Zen priest.
Steve Gross has been a student of Zoketsu Norman Fischer since the first Company Time retreat in 1996. He has been attending Company Time retreats since then. He maintains the Company Time email list, sends out announcements for upcoming workshops, and prints up and distributes flyers for Company Time events.

When & Where
San Francisco Zen Center (SFZC)
Established in 1962 by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi and his American students, San Francisco Zen Center is a Soto Zen Buddhist community with three practice places in the SF Bay Area: City Center, an urban temple in the heart of San Francisco; Green Gulch Farm, in Marin County, where fertile fields meet the ocean; and Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, the first Zen training monastery in the West, in the Ventana Wilderness inland from Big Sur. At San Francisco Zen Center, zazen, study, and work practice are available to a diverse population of students, visitors, lay people, priests, and monks. All are welcome!
