The CDE/ECE Faculty Initiative Project (FIP) is offering a series of seminars developed for faculty teaching child development and early childhood education courses throughout the California higher education system. These seminars will provide resources and information to support faculty in integrating California Department of Education publications and initiatives into their courses.
The Seminar Series in 2009 will focus on the new instructional guide and companion resources created to accompany the social-emotional development and mathematics domains of the California Preschool Learning Foundations, Volume 1. These seminars will offer faculty an opportunity to reflect on the foundations through research presentations and discussion. With the dissemination of the new instructional guide, faculty will have time to explore strategies for integrating these foundations into child development and early childhood education coursework.
