Tips on Getting Started with Implementing Your EHR

Presented by: Andrew Snyder, Implementation Specialist

This class will help physicians understand the steps necessary towards proper and successful EHR implementation. Our Implementation team has worked with hundreds of practices to implement an EHR suitable for each practice.

You will:

  • Learn how NYC REACH will help your practice during implementation and beyond
  • Learn about setting up CIR, immunization reporting, and lab interfaces
  • Get tips on hardware & infrastructure and privacy & security issues
  • Learn tips and tricks for successful EHR implementation

This class is only open to NYC REACH members.

We strongly encourage practices who recently adopted an EHR to attend this class in order to prepare for the implementation process. We also encourage those NYC REACH members to attend who have not adopted or implemented an EHR but are interested in learning more about the process.

ONLY clinicians and office managers should attend.

If you have any questions about this class, please contact Andrew Snyder at  347-396-4840, or via email at asnyder1@health.nyc.gov

The class will be conducted via WebEx.  Registration closes 17 hours before the start of the class.

NYC REACH

The NYC Regional Electronic Adoption Center for Health (NYCREACH) is a collaboration between the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Fund for Public Health in New York to help make sure doctors in New York City don't get left behind. Our mission is to assist them in adopting technology and methods that measurably improve the health of New Yorkers. Some providers may also be eligible for incentives for EHR use from federal, state, or private programs. Our job is to help offset the transition cost and burden as much as possible through training, education, and links to funding sources.
