With the passing of two important figures in computing history, Steve Jobs and John McCarthy, history has been on my mind lately. Though I've been to the Bay Area a lot, I've never checked out a major landmark: the computer history museum.
We'll visit the computer history museum in Mountain View, and chat about everything from Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon (which I am currently reading) to the interaction of history, geography and technology in Silicon Valley.
To make it interesting, I'll try and recruit a few people who have personally experienced bits and pieces of the history.
