Event Details

The Des Moines Chapter of AGA is sponsoring an audio conference presented by the  Association of Government Accountants and the Association of Local Government Auditors, on the topic of  Using XBRL to Improve Accountability, Transparency and Efficiency in Government .

Participants will be able to gain a better understanding of how using an interactive data standard such as XBRL can improve accountability, transparency and efficiency.  The State ofNevada will show how they have used XBRL for debt collection and single audit reporting and how in the process of using it they have improved their business processes.  XBRL is not a passing trend, it is here to stay.  It is the data standard that has been adopted around the world by various governments.

The community service focus for this month is Shoes That Fit.  Participants will have the opportunity to make donations to this charity at the audio conference.
