TopicUnderstanding Virtualization and Control Considerations

The presentation will focus on virtualization technologies that are becoming more prevalent in organizations and provide cost savings and efficiencies.  At the same time, the security of the virtual components is not always fully understood and the implications of the new technology are not always considered when handling critical data and services.  The presentation will provide an introduction to virtualization, discuss the benefits of virtualizing the environment and then provide some guidance and considerations for security and controls within a virtual environment.
