NOCCA Presents

Let Yourself Go! A Musical Book Report Of Irving Berlin

Nims Black Box Theatre · NOCCA · 2800 Chartres Street, New Orleans-70117

Louisiana’s arts conservatory, New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), presents a loving tribute to Irving Berlin and his incredible talent for song with a Musical Theatre student revue entitled Let Yourself Go! A Musical Book Report of Irving Berlin.

Berlin’s songs are true American classics. As homage to this American composer and lyricist, NOCCA Musical Theatre students invite audiences to take a musical journey celebrating Berlin’s greatest Broadway hits.

Public performances take place nightly from November 16 - 19 at 7pm, with an additional matinee on Saturday, November 19 at 2pm. Performances are in the Nims Black Box Theatre on NOCCA’s campus, 2800 Chartres Street, New Orleans 70117.

Let Yourself Go! stars many of NOCCA's talented Musical Theatre students: Adam Segrave, Jonathan May, Cristina Lopez, Katie Pintado, Dylan Troost, Trey McCoy, Elizabeth Carson, Sarah Clingenpeel, Austin Pecot, Koroline Patrick, Ayla Miller, Shangobunmi McAlpine, Christopher Newhouse, Christopher Milligan, Gia Erichson, Dominic Fontana, Abigail Gardner, Anna Keowen, Naomi Prentice, Nick Costello, Gordon Coates, Luc Tuminski, and Hally Lambert.

Let Yourself Go! is directed, choreographed, and written by artist-in-residence Banu Gibson. A superior and swinging jazz singer, Gibson is one of the few vocalists of her generation to maintain exclusive loyalty to songs of the 1920s, '30s, and '40s. NOCCA Musical Theatre artist-teacher Jefferson Turner provides musical arrangements.

PLEASE NOTE: Ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
