Just getting started with WordPress, or thinking about using it for a web site? This workshop is perfect for you. WordPress is the perfect content management system for absolute beginners, so even if you don't have any experience building a web site, you should be able to use WordPress. Topics include:

• Setting up a Site on Wordpress.com
• Customizing the Appearance
• Managing the Content

Prerequisites: This workshop is for absolute beginners, so there really aren't any prerequisites. It would be very helpful if you are comfortable with using a web browser.

Important: This class is for absolute beginners! If you already have experience with WordPress, you should take the Introduction to WordPress for Developers class instead.

Pongos will provide students that select the Classroom ticket option with a seat in our College Park training center, to include use of a 13" MacBook Pro with the necessary software and files.  If you wish to bring your own laptop, you are welcome to do so, but you must have wireless capabilities and a web browser installed.

Can't make it to us? We also offer the class online. You will receive an electronic copy of the course materials, and you can watch the instructor's computer and ask questions, just as if you were in the classroom, but without having to travel. If you wish to follow along with the exercises, we recommend that you have an extra display so you can watch the presentation in that display while you complete the exercises in another display.
