About The Presenter:

Author of the most popular career-planning and job-hunting book in the world, What Color is Your Parachute?: A Practical Manual for Job-Hunters and Career-Changers, Dick Bolles has educated millions about their quest for not only the right job but also the best life. First published in 1970, and revised, updated or rewritten annually, his world-famous book has become the “enduring job search bible,” according to Business Week magazine.  Bolles’ research and teachings have changed the way career counseling is done. He has introduced many new ideas and coined such terms as “informational interview,”  now a world-famous job-hunting technique.  His book is currently available in 13 languages,  has spent a remarkable 288 weeks on the New York Times' bestseller lists.  The Library of Congress chose it as one of “25 Books That Have Shaped Readers’ Lives” throughout history, and Time Magazine this year selected it as one of the 100 best non-fiction works to appear in the last 88 years  (when Time was founded).

Bolles was educated at M.I.T. and Harvard as well as General (Episcopal) Seminary,  and has an academic background in chemical engineering, physics and Biblical studies.  He holds a bachelor's degree (cum laude) in physics,  a master's degree in New Testament studies, and three honorary doctorates. .
