Learn how to setup and manage a WordPress site. This class is a great intro for anybody interested in running their own WordPress installation. Topics include:
- Finding Hosting

- Using Plug-ins
- Managing Users
- Creating a Network
- Using BuddyPress
Prerequistes: None, but basic knowledge of web hosting and databases is helpful.
Important: Evening classes are held 6:30-9:30pm over two days, so please make sure you can attend both evenings! The following sessions are held during the evening:
- March 19-20, 6:30-9:30pm
- April 23-24, 6:30-9:30pm
Pongos will provide students that select the Classroom ticket option with a seat in our College Park training center, to include use of a 13" MacBook Pro with the necessary software and files. You may bring your own wireless-enabled laptop if you wish, provided it has all of the necessary software installed before class begins. If you choose the Online ticket option, we will send you a link to the web conference, and you must have the appropriate software installed on your computer before class begins if you wish to follow along. For this class you will need:
- WAMP or MAMP
- A copy of the latest WordPress files, unzipped and placed in the web root directory on your computer
- A MySQL database named wordpress
