Event Details

This is an information session double header at the University of Minnesota Rochester!  Humphrey staff will be on hand to share information with prospective MS-STEP and MPA students.

The Master of Science in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (MS-STEP) degree prepares students from natural or engineering science backgrounds to understand the role of science, technology, and the environment in our society, particularly in relation to its economic growth, health, environment, education, and national security.

The Mid-career Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree is designed for mid-career professionals with 10 years or more of professional experience who want to advance their skills in public and nonprofit leadership, management, and policy analysis.

Highway 52 Traveling South

Exit at 2nd Street SW. Turn left (east) and remain on 2nd Street. Just after crossing Broadway, turn left into the 1st Street Parking Ramp (next to the Doubletree Hotel). The skyway is located on the 2nd level. Take the skyway crossing Broadway to enter University Square on the 2nd floor. Use the elevator to access your required floor.

The Humphrey School of Public Affairs inspires, educations, and supports innovative leaders to advance the common good in a diverse world. 

The school offers degrees in Public Policy; Urban and Regional Planning; Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy; Development Practice in international development; and a mid-career Public Affairs degree. This ensures a great diversity of views and experiences among the faculty, staff, and students and makes for a rich learning environment.  Our many policy, research, and outreach centers provide numerous opportunities to apply skills learned in the classroom.  

We also offer graduate certificates in Nonprofit Management; Public Affairs Leadership; and Policy Issues on Work and Pay. Graduate certificates offer  professionals the opportunity to advance a skill set or learn a new set of proficiencies. All of our certificates benefit from flexible or distance learning options. 

Additionally, Humphrey students benefit from many opportunities offered by attending one of the largest and most respected research universities in the world. Students can take courses in more than 150 graduate programs across the university or work as graduate assistants in other departments. 

The Humphrey School also offers joint-degree programs in law, public health, business, civil engineering, and landscape architecture.
