Some of you might have met Ross and Rebecca at our latest Burge mob (you know, the couple toting around the absolutely adorable and astoundingly well-behaved baby) and now it's their turn! We'll be heading to Manyfold Farm to help them get ready for winter by weeding and pruning their numerous blueberry bushes, weeding around the barn, some general maintenance tasks and helping build winter lambing jugs - little pens for lambing on pasture.
I mean, what better topic of conversation at your Thanksgiving table than how you helped build lambing jugs a few weeks before. We love seeing young farmers like Ross and Rebecca help grow the future of accessible local produce and meat, and we're excited about lending a hand and taking a farm tour after a delicious lunch. You know how we do.
Plus, this is one of our last mobs of the year, so be sure and come out. We have one small mob on the books for December, but we might be pausing for a month or two to regroup (don't worry, we'll have a Speakeasy so we don't forget your faces). So get your mobbing in at Manyfold!
Here is the most straightforward way to get there:
Hop on 75/85 South and exit onto 85 South at the split. Follow 85 South until you pass the airport and look for exit #69, South Fulton Parkway. Take exit #69 and bear left, following the signs for South Fulton Parkway (there are a bunch of lane changes and mergers, so just follow the signs carefully). Stay on South Fulton Parkway for about 20 miles. When the road narrows to a two lane highway, start looking for Rico Rd on the LEFT. There's only a street sign (no stop sign or light or anything). Follow Rico for about 3-4 miles. The farm is on the LEFT #7850. There's no sign, but look for a long asphalt driveway leading to a big red barn. A sign will be posted that reads "Crop Mob!" out front. PARKING IS VERY LIMITED, keep an eye out for an update about carpooling. Park on the grass at the end of the driveway.
