The Giving Spirit: Hands. Heart. Help. Hope.
The Giving Spirit is an all-volunteer, Los Angeles-based non-profit organization that unites volunteers to reach out to local individuals and families who are homeless. Twice a year volunteers gather to assemble survival kits filled with daily necessities. The kits are specifically designed to help people experiencing homelessness survive their harsh realities. Volunteers have the unique opportunity to distribute the kits directly to those who need them most. For many volunteers, the chance to connect with those less fortunate is a life-changing experience that affirms the ever-present need for kindness and compassion.
TGS Volunteers extend their hands and their hearts to those in need,
providing both help and hope.
Please join us to be a part of The Giving Spirit's December 2011 events.
There are various shifts throughout the event. Click on the "more info" link to find a brief description of the duties.
Each person needs to sign up individually so that we can keep an accurate count of volunteers. If you are signing up for multiple shifts (choose all of the shifts before you click "Register"), you can copy data from one ticket to the next so that you do not need to repeatedly input basic contact information. At the top of the second ticket, there is a "Copy data from" field. Instead of "Select (optional)," choose Ticket #1.
