Wine Service Training for the Restaurant trade
Learn the tricks of the trade from Savvy Company's team of sommeliers.

Start the day by learning the principals of wine appreciation and familiarizing yourself with the language of wine. Then roll up your sleeves! Your Savvy teacher will lead the class through hands on training of all aspects of serving wine at a restaurant including:

- rules of thumb for wine and food matching

- offering wine recommendations with confidence

- providing patrons insightful stories about the people who make the wine

- professionally presenting wines by the glass

- techniques to opening bottles of wine at the table

Armed with this new knowledge, you will have the chance to put your wine service training into practice in a live serving scenario.  This will be a fun and informative class led by a professional Sommelier.

This Savvy U 'class' will be in the Red Room boardroom facility at Novotel Ottawa.  A gourmet lunch at TRIO Restaurant will be provided.

$99 per person when you register before April 10, 2009. Regular registration fee is $129.

Registration fee includes lunch at Novotel's TRIO Restaurant, restaurant gratuities, wines, class supplies, taxes and online booking fee.
