Welcome Everyone,

Please join us November 17 as David Westra from Miller Russell reviews upcoming legislative changes to 401K plans.

The Department of Labor recently announced new legislation that will dramatically impact most 401(k) Plans.  Specifically, the DOL has outlined several critical requirements that 401(k) Plan Sponsors must comply with beginning in April 2012.

The new legislation requires Plan Sponsors to:

1.      Understand their 401(k) Plan costs

2.      Ensure that the costs paid by participants are “reasonable”

3.      Provide participants with an annual notice which explains Plan costs in detail

4.      Disclose participant fees on quarterly statements

David will help us in understanding what is required to comply with the new fee disclosure legislation.  Miller Russell has partnered with Pietzsch, Bonnett & Womack, a local law firm that specializes in ERISA work, to explain the impact of the new legislation in detail and provide actionable steps to ensure that you are meeting your fiduciary duties.

Please note - the meeting is schedule for 11:30 to 1:00 Arizona time.  Time is changing between the creation of this notice and the actual day of the meeting.  Mark your calendars accordingly.  Thank you.

Melissa
