Event Details

CanvasCon is the premier regional Instructure Canvas user's conference. Whether you're already a Canvas user looking to learn more about the platform or you're looking at Canvas as a replacement for your current LMS, CanvasCon will take your knowledge of Canvas to the next level! The conference is all-inclusive -- registration includes all sessions, meals, and materials.


Why should you come to CanvasCon Orlando?

Schedule

We're currently accepting proposals for speakers. If you have something you'd like to present for CanvasCon, please send your proposal to Sunny Washington at sunnyw@instructure.com. All proposals must be received by January 9, 2012 to be considered.

Early-bird registration is $150. After January 9, 2012, registration will be $200. Your registration includes:

  • Your all-access pass to all CanvasCon panels and presentations.

Post-Conference Workshop

There will also be a postconference workshop on January 24, 2012 that will be led by one of our professional services trainers. This will be a hands-on workshop that will cover topics like best practices, using account level question banks, rubrics and learning outcomes. The cost for this half-day workshop will be $50.

Registration starts at 8:00 am. Welcome starts at 9:00 am

Topics include:

  • Using Account level question banks 
  • Using the SpeedGrader™ with Outcomes and Rubrics to promote more authentic assessment of student learning. 
  • Using Student Groups for collaboration. 
  • Comparing best practices for implementing Blended vs Completely Online vs Classroom use of Canvas.
  • Keyboard shortcuts anyone? 

Participants should have previous experience using Canvas. We'll provided a free Internet connection, top-notch trainers, digital resources to use during the workshop, and reference materials.
