Networking using LinkedIn and Student Panel on Professionalism

Friday, October 14th

4-6 PM

Rocky 209, Rockefeller Center

=== a Pre-Internship Training workshop ===

This is a special workshop hosted by the Rockefeller Center's Management & Leadership Development Program (MLDP), but is also open all students - including first year students.

You do not need to be registered for the full term MLDP to attend this workshop.  If you enroll in MLDP, this workshop counts as part of the program requirements.

Why might you want to consider using a tool like LinkedIn while still in college? How can you utilize LinkedIn to help seek out advice and opportunities for internships and jobs? During this workshop, you will be starting a LinkedIn profile (requested for student applications at the Rockefeller Center) and discussing best practices for young professionals on LinkedIn.

A panel of students who have recently completed internships will be discussing what they learned about networking and professionalism, and be available for questions from other students considering internships in the near future.

As this workshop has a hands-on component, please bring your laptop.

Light refreshments will be provided.
