Joel Daniels has over 20 years of experience in the information technology and wireless industries. Prior to joining Verizon Wireless in 2004, Joel held strategic sales and sales management positions for several industry leaders including Research in Motion (Blackberry) and CompuCom Systems. He is currently a member of the Verizon Wireless Enterprise Data Sales team supporting key Federal Government agencies. Joel holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Physics.
Dan Kasun is the Senior Director of Developer and Platform Evangelism for U.S. Public Sector at Microsoft. Dan and his teams are responsible for evangelizing how new technologies can be applied in the government and education industries, providing readiness and guidance to developers, and working directly with agencies, organizations and partners to help ensure success for solutions built on the Microsoft platform. In addition, Dan's organization works with schools, faculty, and students to build enthusiasm and competency for Computer Science education and technical career development. Dan has been with Microsoft for over 15 years, and joined the Microsoft Public Sector business in 2009. During his tenure, he has worked with customers of all sizes - from small developer organizations to large enterprises in a variety of industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Government, and Education). He is a frequent speaker at Microsoft and industry events – specializing in all areas of application development and technical architecture. Prior to Microsoft, Dan was an application developer and architect in the Financial Services Industry. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in computer engineering from Lehigh University.
Jacob Parcell is the Manager, Mobile Programs within GSA's Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies. He works with federal agencies to clear a citizen-centric path for mobile access to government. He is the community manager of the Mobile Gov Community of Practice, which is a cooperative collection of more than 45 federal agencies interested in implementing ciitizen-facing mobile products including, but not limited to, mobile web, SMS and apps. In July, the Mobile Gov Community launched the Making Mobile Gov project, which was based on their collective experiences implementing citizen facing mobile.
