Our speakers, both LEED AP’s, will explain the core concept of lifecycle cost analysis (LCA) and the qualifying metrics that provide value in commercial real estate transactions and construction endeavors. We’ll hear how EBS uses financial metrics to enhance the delivery of sustainability objectives and how Blach uses economic indicators in client decision-making as well as financial metrics to enhance the delivery of sustainability objectives. The program will include a tour of Blach Construction’s LEED-Gold facility. Light food, wine and other beverages will be served.

Steve Murphy, LEED® AP / MEP Director, Blach Construction
Steve Murphy is currently leading Blach's Environmental Sustainability Team, utilizing nearly 30 years of extensive alternative energy and sustainable construction experience to uphold the company's commitment to operating in an environmentally responsible way. As Director of MEP services, Steve provides oversight and project support during preconstruction and on all critical MEP-related issues. A licensed mechanical engineer and LEED accredited professional, Steve holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, HVAC/Solar Concentration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
