This workshop focuses on the benefits and techniques of employer focused Workers' Compensation cost containment programs. If you depend entirely on your insurer to develop and implement these programs, you are already throwing your money away. Participants will learn the importance of employer directed cost containment programs and how they reap the biggest savings.

· Importance of strict policies requiring timely notification
· Formalizing accident investigation and reporting programs
· Selecting and working with an occupational clinic of your choice
· When to engage a nurse case manager
· How to develop and implement an effective transitional return-to-work program · How to handle and manage late reported injuries · Damage control techniques · Establishing responsibility and accountability for cost containment programs
