A film by VLADIMIR KOTT
Funny, serious and touching at the
same time, the film follows three parallel stories of old school friends
and former fellow band members. Now a police officer, taxi driver and
surgeon, all in their forties, they cross paths without realizing it.
The second feature by Vladimir Kott, Gromozeka looks and feels like an
old Soviet film, but the Moscow it captures is completely contemporary
and filmed in a style that evokes American masterpieces such as
"Shortcuts" (Robert Altman) or "Magnolia" (Paul Thomas Anderson). A very
amusing character drama laced with black humor and full of surprises.
