The 2011 Piggy Bank Auction made possible by Bill Davis and Thomas Creek Brewery will be held Thursday, November 3rd from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm at the Huguenot Mill Loft in Downtown Greenville. The annual Piggy Bank Auction is the most unique auction in the Upstate. Bill Davis of Thomas Creek Brewery donates piggy banks that he hand creates, and then they are passed out to local artists to paint and decorate. Once returned, the majority of the piggy banks will be displayed by themselves as the works of art that they are and will be auctioned off in a silent auction. The others will be paired with packages, including a Masters and BMW package, and will be auctioned off in a traditional auction.  There will also be hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants, desserts, coffee, beer from Thomas Creek and wine. 

All proceeds from the Piggy Bank Auction support United Way's Hands On Greenville.  The Piggy Bank Auction has two goals:

• To raise funds to help Hands On Greenville continue its year-round mission of creating meaningful volunteer opportunities
• To promote the spirit of volunteerism and demonstrate the power of community service between our local artist and the community
