Event Details

Our very own Bettina "Pixie" Warren returns for another great performance. Pixie's last show was packed and we're looking forward to another special night. She'll be accompanied by musical director Jim Guerin. Her new show features Broadway favorites, standards and, of course, some surprises! Carmel Valley resident (and mother of 3) Bettina Warren is well known for many theatrical performances here in town as well as a number of years of experience in clubs and on stage in Philadelphia and New York among other cities. Bettina embodies the style of cabaret performers enjoyed by audiences worldwide while bringing her own passionate approach to the music she loves to bring to life. Bettina's repertoire includes Broadway favorites, beloved standards and contemporary tunes performed in her own inimitable style. Bettina is the diva who made Schroeder’s possible. Her hard work and tireless performing with SMGO Productions allowed the concept of Cabaret in San Diego to grow into our our club here at Schroeder’s. Schroeder’s resident diva knocks your socks off with touching ballads, soaring melodies and a big Broadway Belt! “The spunky, diminutive singer has powerhouse pipes and a commanding stage presence....Warren is exceptionally gifted at interpreting songs.” -Pam Kragen North County Times “Warren has enough energy to light a small city .... She is gifted with an incredible voice big enough to fill an auditorium, sans microphone, and as a performer has the heart to match” -Dave Dial Carmel Valley News/Del Mar Village Voice Jim Guerin is one of the premier jazz pianists in San Diego. He has been Bettina’s arranger and accompanist since the early days of SMGO Productions and has been integral in helping us achieve our current success. Jim started out as an award winning classical pianist and has concentrated on Jazz, popular, and Latin music since moving to San Diego in 1988. Mr. Guerin is a credential teacher providing musical arrangements, interpretations and private piano instructions from his home studio.

Schroeder's Club and Cabaret

Our intimate New York-style venue is the only cabaret in San Diego! Schroeder's is patterned after the cabaret clubs in New York, LA and San Francisco and has a comfortable, inviting ambiance complete with professional lighting and sound, a baby grand piano and candlelit tables. Schroeder's showcases the vocalists and the accompanist in a unique and intimate setting in the tradition of the cabarets and nightclubs popular in the 1920s - 1960s. Food and drinks are available in the Westin Sports Bar before and after the performance. Past performers have included Andrea Marcovicci, Sam Harris and Maude Maggart as well as local performers including Leigh Scarritt, Danielle Forsgren, Rayme Sciaroni, Eileen Bowman & Ric Henry, Phil Johnson, Debra Wanger, Bettina "Pixie" Warren, Melinda Gilb & Steve Gunderson, and Ole Kittleson and Priscilla Allen to name a few. The Cabaret is named for Todd Schroeder who is a singer/songwriter and musical director/accompanist. Todd is currently the musical director for Sam Harris, Angela Lansbury and Jason Alexander.
