'Whole Brain Thinking' Integrating Design & Business | Lecture by MeeWha Lee

Join us, this is the first Design Means Business event out of two this week.

MeeWha Lee centers innovation at the heart of her company. She focuses on the importance of the relationship between brand, packaging and product as the core connection for success as she leads the Design Innovation Function for one of the largest grocery brands in North America, Oscar Mayer (Kraft Food).

Mingling @ 6pm, Lecture @ 7pm, followed by Q&A and continued mingling.

About Design Means Business
As a mutual partnership between The Wharton Club of Norther California and IDSA-SF, "Design Means Business" aims to bring design to the forefront in business as a way to create more meaningful, innovative companies. Each lecture draws a vibrant mix of design and business leaders from throughout the Bay Area, with plenty of opportunity for cross-pollination.



Bio

MeeWha Lee is currently leading the Design and Innovation function of Oscar Mayer, one of the largest single brands of the North American grocery market, and its three sister brands, Lunchables, Boca and Claussen. She is responsible for transforming package graphics into a strategic brand-building design function at Oscar Mayer by delivering unprecedented Design System, Brand Guide for IMC, Portfolio Segmentation Strategy and Brand Design Vision.

 

MeeWha began her career in academia teaching graphic communications, and still enjoys returning to the classroom when the opportunity arises to share her professional experience with students. She joined Kimberly-Clark Corp. in 1996, where she created a paradigm shift in product aesthetics by working through design strategy and enabling technologies. Prior to coming to Oscar Mayer/Kraft Foods in 2009, she was Director of Global Strategic Brand Design at Colgate Palmolive Company, where she concentrated her efforts in building and training a highly effective design management group.

 

MeeWha holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Seoul National Univercity in South Keres and MA and MFA degrees in Design from University of Iowa.
