A Training Session on Biodiesel Cold Soak Filtration
The class covers the new mandatory annex method in ASTM D6751.
Date: November 18, 2008
Time: 1:30 pm EST Duration: 3 Hours
Cost: $100
ASTM D6751-08 Standard Specifications for Biodiesel Fuel Blend Stock (B100), with effect from October 13, 2008, now contains as a Mandatory Annex; a method of Cold Soak Filtration (CSFT). Biodiesel (B100) Blend Stocks that meet the specifications of the new methods are deemed suitable for blending with middle distillates to provide adequate low temperature operability.
Topics to be addressed:
- The history and potential future of the Cold Soak Filtration test will be discussed.
- We will show and distribute the official National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) video about the test.
- A question and answer session will be held
- We will demonstrate running the actual test in our onsite laboratory
Who should attend?
The training sessions will be limited in size. There will be a maximum of 12 seats for each session. Therefore it is important to register people for the training sessions who have experience with the cold soak test or will be running the test for your company.
