Abandoned In Detroit, a fashion showcase project began in 2005 with the goal to document the emergence of fashion from the changing landscape of Detroit. Witness a fashion show set in a photo exhibition spanning 6 years and 25 photo shoots. Tickets are FREE. Donation proceeds will be given to the Friends of Belle Isle Aquarium.

This photo exhibition and fashion show are the first time for many to publicly witness the documentation accumulated over the past six years. Elements of fashion design, architectural design, graphic design and more are present throughout this week-long happening.

The Belle Isle Aquarium is our 25th photo shoot location, one week prior to the fashion show. This historic attraction of Detroit was shuttered in 2005. We are working to offer a donation and to increase awareness that Detroit has the oldest aquarium in North America. It needs to be open to show the fish of the Great Lakes for all generations.

PHOTO EXHIBITION - Daily

Photos from the project have been accumulating for six years showing the work of fashion designers, stylists, and locations around Detroit that have changed with time. A photo wall of over 400 square feet will show photos from past and present.

A portion of all artwork sold is being donated to the Friends of Belle Isle Aquarium. We hope that one day we will be able to hold a fashion show inside the aquarium as it reopens.

FASHION SHOW - Sunday

The fashion show will have a unique path - with models passing in front of the photo exhibition and continuing into the main art gallery. During this walk there will be plenty of motion to see the outfits and styling up close.

There will be several zones for photographers and we are working on broadcasting the show live through streaming video onto the internet.

Advertising opportunities are present in a number of forms (vending, print, online, and video) - please contact Stephen Boyle at 248-632-6156 to discuss. You can send an email to info@fuzzytek.com requesting an advertising kit for the event series.
