Event Details

The event will cover Green Legislation, focusing specifically on water conservation. Topics include: How AB 1881 - The Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance, impacts residential and commercial designers and landscapers, how adding raingardens and bioretention swales to new and existing residential and commercial projects can realize greywater treatment and reduce water usage, and AB 1881 case studies.

Melanie Mills – MLA, Low Impact Development Institute
Ms. Mills focuses on the implementation aspects that will assist in the planning, design, and policy components of LID and sustainable development across multiple scales.

Marie’s focus is in the reintroduction of vegetated systems into highly urbanized areas, treatment of air and water, increased habitat for wildlife, and diverse healthy environments for people.
