Strong communications relies on integrating traditional forms of marketing and PR with the new forms of social media. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, YouTube, Blogs, Flickr... social media is everywhere. For nonprofits, these can be important communication tools - they are free, flexible, and enable organizations to engage with large numbers of existing and prospective supporters, both regionally and globally, fast!

This workshop will explain how the web has expanded our marketing and PR toolbox, and how your organization can put social networks to work to accomplish your goals and objectives.

If you are unsure where to start with social media, this is the workshop for you!  The basics of social media will be explained and participants will be guided through what these tools look like, how to use them, why you would decide to use them, and how much time it will take

Check-in begins at 8:30am

Coffee, juice, fruit and pastries will be served
