What happened to former ABC and HBO producer and director, Vincent Stafford? What occurred in the life of the creative storyteller who partnered with Dr. C. Everett Koop, former President George H.W. Bush, Peter Jennings, Hugh Downs, Linda Ellerbee and others to produce and direct numerous, award-winning documentaries? What is the experience of an unanticipated disability for someone with such an accomplished career and what are his perspectives today?
Today, 54 million people in the United States are living in the community with a disability. That’s one in every five people ~
· some are born with a disability
· many more acquire a disability due to injury, illness or age
Vincent’s unique position and insight into leadership, workforce and people will inspire and energize you. He has spent his most recent years talking to executives and leaders about thinking beyond the label.
Following Vincent’s program, an employer panel will address how diversifying the workforce pays off.

About the Speaker: As an accomplished producer and director, Vincent has won prestigious recognitions ranging from Emmys to Aces to Cine Golden Eagle and Montreux film awards. For thirteen years, he produced and directed numerous Thames Television/ITN international documentary series, live news programs and national specials, including This Week, TV Eye and Inside Business.
Brought to the United States by ABC News in 1982 Vincent produced and directed numerous award winning primetime documentaries for ABC News Close UP. Among his more notable productions are The Fire Unleashed, The Bomb Factories and Growing Old in America as well as many more with hosts, Peter Jennings, Hugh Downs and Linda Ellerbee. He also co-produced the pilot for ABC’s Emmy Award-winning primetime historical series, Our World. He then went on to produce specials for HBO, The Disney Channel and Fox. His Portraits of Freedom documentary, hosted and narrated by Raymond Burr, won the top honor at the Golden Eagle Awards as best documentary.
Vincent joined UPS in the fall of 1997. His talents got noticed and he was quickly promoted into the supervisory ranks. Working in the communications department enabled him to produce training videos, commercials, newspaper articles and press releases for both the Rocky Mountain District and Corporate. He also recruited, trained and managed the many aspects in his role as a HR professional.
Vincent has traveled extensively throughout the world during his exciting careers and brings a deep multi-cultural understanding to the workplace. He now resides in Lone Tree, Colorado, with his wife, Therese. They have two daughters, Alexandra and Amanda.
