        About All For Africa

All for Africa, a 501 (c) 3 organization, takes a collaborative approach to poverty reduction by working with the private sector to foster projects that generate economic and social benefits in the communities in which they are located.

Programs focus on agriculture, clean water, community health, education, energy, environmental impact, micro-financing and skills training/livelihood creation. In addition, All for Africa promotes collaborative conversation and education amongst all stakeholders including private sector, NGOs and civic organizations.

This mission is achieved primarily through:

  1. Project development aimed at creating sustainable funding to cover operational expenses for community based programs and charities.
  2. The creation of valuable collaborative models between for profit companies and not for profit organizations.
  3. Provide service as the coordinating hub for networking, education and support for all stakeholders delivering programs for the relief and development of Africa on a sustainable basis.

In reaction to coming face to face with the impacts of war and poverty on the health and well being of millions of Africans, a group of New York based entrepreneurs launched a number of new ventures to bring significant investment in infrastructure and employment opportunities to the African continent to better control their economic destinies. These projects in manufacturing, energy, telecom, mining and agriculture required significant investment in the physical and social infrastructure. The companies began, very quickly, to see that the right combination of investment in the social infrastructure and the creation of meaningful employment resulted in dramatic improvements in the quality of life, and most importantly, in the sustainability of these improvements. The discipline of the for profit sector forced the development of extremely efficient mechanisms for delivering focused social investment.

These experiences inspired leadership to create a not for profit enterprise with the goal to replicate within a much wider constituency the sustainable development of social infrastructure necessary to improve lives. Thus All for Africa was born.

While working with a wide group of not for profit organizations around the continent, each with a similar goal, All for Africa recognized that the primary difference in the social impact of the for profit initiatives and the not for profit initiatives was one of sustainability. Without a continuous source of profits to draw upon most public sector and non profit programs rely on one time investments that often fail as the local population lacks the means to continue the funding of on going operational expenses. All for Africa’s mission was now clear!

All for Africa develops business models within the not for profit arena. These models are designed to generate long-term sustainable revenue streams to fund the operational expenses of the many organizations already doing excellent work on the ground. In essence, All for Africa creates the systems, which then generate a large number of mini endowmentsNotably, these models not only perform the critical function of providing sustainability to existing and proposed projects and programs, but they actually bring additional jobs and investment to Africa.
