Our intensive, two-day Certified Scrum Product Owner course offers you a strong foundation in the Scrum framework and agile principles, geared toward the unique product owner role. The real-world experience of BigVisible’s Certified Scrum Trainers allows us to incorporate practical advice and time-tested techniques into this hands-on workshop. After completing the course:

  • You can apply for a Scrum Alliance CSPO
  • You can apply for 16 PMP PDUs with the Project Management Institute
  • You will have satisfied 16 of the required 21 training contact hours for the new PMI-ACP (PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner)

What is Scrum?
Scrum is one of the largest and fastest-growing agile frameworks. It is a simple, yet powerful way to boost team productivity, elevate quality, and accelerate project delivery.

One of the keys to a successful Scrum project is an effective product owner. This person sets the product vision and is responsible for transforming it into a successful product. The product owner represents the voice of the customer and is empowered to make trade-offs and decisions to reach the product goals.

This course focuses on the core skills for defining and managing a prioritized product backlog, making informed trade-off decisions, and creating accurate and realistic product and release plans. Participants will leave the class equipped with knowledge and tools required to create realistic release plans and proactively steer the team to a successful delivery.

Who is the course right for?
BigVisible’s CSPO course offers a firm grounding in the Scrum framework and the Scrum Product Owner role. No agile experience is required. Some experience managing projects is helpful.

What are the learning objectives?

  • Discover the basics of Scrum and fundamental agile principles
  • Understand how Scrum helps organizations cope with change, budget constraints, quality issues, and other challenges
  • Characterize the Product Owner role within the Scrum framework
  • Learn how to partner effectively with a development team
  • Experience ways to manage and communicate the scope and vision of a product
  • Know how to take advantage of the iterative, incremental nature of Scrum to deliver value faster
