The Des Moines Chapter of AGA is sponsoring an audio conference presented by the  Association of Government Accountants and the Association of Local Government Auditors, on the topic of  "Building a Sustainable Performance Management Framework―Supporting Government Programs with Valuable Data".

Speakers Leslie Crowell, deputy county executive, County of Santa Clara, CA, and Kaye Kendrick, Kaye Kendricka and Associates, who will lead a discussion of the basics for successful performance measurement, the role of the accountant and how they were able to effect positive change in Santa Clara county.  They will use a mapping approach that includes the "program logic model", which you can add to your toolkit.

The community service focus for this month is Meals from the Heartland.  Participants will have the opportunity to make donations to this charity at the audio conference.
