Does your marketing consist of mailers sent out when the phone stops ringing? Do you only call clients when you realize you don't have any significant projects in the pipeline? The last time you updated your book or website, was Arnold still only The Terminator? It's nothing to be ashamed of. "Panic Marketing Syndrome" affects many creatives. With proper "treatment," you too can defeat this business disease. Leslie Burns-Dell'Acqua, Creative Marketing Consultant and owner of Burns Auto Parts--Consultants, will share her thoughts on how to get your marketing under control and share some easy tools you may have forgotten. Even if you hate marketing, you'll learn tips and tricks for making it less painful, more consistent, and more effective. In today's difficult marketplace, PMS can be deadly. Learn what you can do to protect yourself from this scourge. Leslie Burns-Dell'Acqua launched Burns Auto Parts in 1999, named after her grandfather’s old business, partly because of the irony in it and partly because “Leslie Burns Reps” sounded too much like a bad tabloid headline! In addition to her repping, producing, and consulting duties, Leslie has written several articles on creative business issues, designed and taught a course on the business of commercial photography at the Columbus College of Art and Design, and authored a chapter in the 2003 Photographer’s Market. She is also very active in many creative/creative business groups and forums, both online and in the real world, including Adlist/Adland, APAnet, Editorial Photographers forum (EP), TheCreativeForum.com, and supporting her local ASMP chapter whenever she can.
