Event Details
San Diego’s own diva, Leigh Scarritt and amazing accompanist/musical director/songwriter Rayme Sciaroni return to Schroeder’s for another riveting, exciting and unforgettable night.

Leigh is an actress, singer, dancer, choreographer, director, writer, and composer. She also teaches voice and is a personal exercise trainer.

Leigh is recently brought down the house as Marjorie Taub in the Tale of the Allergist’s Wife at 6th @ Penn after back to back musicals at the San Diego Rep. The first as the menacing Gothol in Rapunzel directed by Delicia Turner-Sonnenberg; followed by her portrayal of the pill-popping Cindi Hillman in P33's So Here’s The Thing with real life daughter Tiffany Jane under the direction of Emily Cornelius. At 6th @ Penn Leigh led an all star cast in the critically acclaimed San Diego Premiere of the musical Trolls – directed by Ole Kittleson. San Diego Audiences will remember her at The Rep. in Working (Aubrey Nomination) directed by Sam Woodhouse. Other appearances include: Eva Peron directed by Mr. Brian Wells, also at Starlight the Witch in Into The Woods. At Spreckles Theatre: Queen Aggrevaine in Once Upon A Mattress directed by Dan Regas. Regionally: Shy in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Val in A Chorus Line, Susy in Babes In Arms, Bob Mackie’s Movie Star, and, under the direction of Jack O’Brien, Grandma Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Globe Theatre. Internationally: Mo’ Magic. And directed by the incomparable Wayne Tibbetts: Reunion, which Leigh choreographed. Leigh is an accomplished playwright, composer, musical director, and choreographer. She recently directed You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown at the La Jolla Stage Company. Other director credits include: Bye Bye Birdie, M.A.S.H, Pump Boys and Dinettes, and the San Diego premiere of the long-running Angels Among Us.

Her television appearances include, "Three's Company", "Too Close for Comfort", "General Hospital" and "The Jerry Lewis Show". Movie appearances include, "Used Cars" with Kurt Russell and "In Search of My Son" with Richard Thomas.

Rayme Sciaroni, a Schroeder's favorite, is a composer and one of the premier pianist/accompanists in San Diego. Rayme has written numerous theatre and cabaret songs that have been performed throughout the country as well as a large repertoire of children’s songs and musicals. His work includes a children’s musical screenplay entitled We’re Kids and We Love It! An interesting note is that Rayme is from Todd Schroeder’s hometown and was one of Todd’s mentors on the piano.

Schroeder's is patterned after the cabaret clubs in New York, LA and San Francisco and has a comfortable, inviting ambiance complete with professional lighting and sound, a baby grand piano and candlelit tables. Schroeder's showcases the vocalists and the accompanist in a unique and intimate setting in the tradition of the cabarets and nightclubs popular in the 1920s - 1960s. Food and drinks are available in the Westin Sports Bar before and after the performance. Past performers have included Andrea Marcovicci, Sam Harris and Maude Maggart as well as local performers including Leigh Scarritt, Danielle Forsgren, Rayme Sciaroni, Eileen Bowman & Ric Henry, Phil Johnson, Debra Wanger, Bettina "Pixie" Warren, Melinda Gilb & Steve Gunderson, and Ole Kittleson and Priscilla Allen to name a few.
