The Stitch Lounge is a quarterly open lab incorporating sewing machines and studio space for people to come together, share knowledge and make things.
By providing a free and relaxed space in which people can experiment with fabric, this 'pop-up' takes a cutting edge approach to fostering a sewing community and provides a truly unique chance for everyone to engage with the process.
The lab will boast ten sparkling new 2250NT sewing machines from the legend that is Singer, a gargantuan cutting table, roll upon roll of white, bright and bold fabrics and a lounge area stacked with books, all aiming to satisfy and stimulate everyone's sewing urges.
Fancy a little Show & Tell? Well over afternoon tea, seamstress Marise Bucukoglu and artist Kristina Johansen will demonstrate bespoke techniques at 4 pm on both days. For the first time, the Stitch Lounge will be introducing the Stitch Kitchen with delicious delights lovingly made by Ziggy's Really Good Food.
The event will close with a celebration beginning at 6pm on Sunday featuring cocktails, canapés and a catwalk.
