Last November a group of artists from The NYC area went to participate in Japan Music Week and YumeFest. During some hardships, we found ourselves banding together and making new Japanese friends that took care of each and every one of us.
When the earthquake occurred, we felt a responsibility to help and started by putting up this informative site: http://domoarigatofund.tumblr.com/ which tells you about all of us and keeps visitors abreast of the situation in Japan.
Funds collected through the website and during the event will be donated to The Japan Society (http://www.japansociety.org/earthquake). We chose The Japan Society, because unlike other organizations, they are directly tied to the people affected and have a longterm plan for rebuilding.
WHO: The artists involved include: Mecca Godzilla, Mio Soul, Raye 6, EYE 2025, Cavalier, TreZure, GreenStreet, Emjae, iAreConscious, & TastyKeish.
