A round table discussion on social media

Following the popular SEO event AweSEOme in July, Leeds Digital Festival presents its second lunchtime lunch session, Sociality. Again, the venue is the Adelphi. This time our expert panel will be talking about social media, to help businesses understand social media.

We'll be discussing:

  • What can social media do for my business?
  • Why should businesses sit up and take notice of social media?
  • What does a social media strategy look like?
  • What are some achievable social media objects I can set for my business tomorrow?
  • What (free) tools can businesses use in house to help with social media?

Simon Wilson, one of the organisers of this year’s Leeds Digital Festival and Sociality, said: “Social media is a hot topic for many businesses right now, but there’s still a knowledge gap and with new networks, new apps and new tools springing up it can be hard for non-specialists to keep track.

“Businesses looking to widen their social media knowledge, whether it’s Twitter or Tumblr, Facebook or Foursquare, should attend the event and put their questions to our expert panel.”

Again, we will also be asking attendees to put their questions to the panel in advance of the event so if you've getting a ticket have a think about what you want answering.

Due to interest and venue capacity, places for this event will be strictly limited and entry will be on a ticket only basis. Tickets are also split into two categories "agency" and "non-agency", to ensure that Leeds based non-marketing agencies can take advantage of this event. There will also be a waiting list in operation once the tickets are sold out.
