I'm guessing you've heard the expression "The mind is willing but the flesh is weak." It seems to be an important premise underlying much of the Western concept of health and well-being.

"If my damn body wasn't so stubborn, I'd be thirty pounds lighter and look twenty years younger!"

So sad to see this model of the world prevalent amongst so many people.

Oriental wisdom on the other hand teaches that "the entire unit of self" is intelligent and life sustaining. Charlie Badenhop

If I had to use just one word to describe myself and my background, it would be eclectic. In 1985, I moved to Japan from my place of birth, New York City. I’ve lived here ever since.

My Japanese clients say, “Charlie-san has a foreign face and name, but a Japanese heart.” My Western clients tell me I offer an intriguing Eastern sensibility, couched in modern terms.

I’m glad to hear people say these things, because I love the combination and cross-pollination of Eastern and Western cultures that my work offers.

Charlie is the originator of Seishindo. He has lived and worked in Japan for the last 25 years. He is an Aikido "sensei" and his work is based upon Aikido, NLP, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Feldenkrais and Noguchi Sei Tai.

Charlie has taught at seminars held by top trainers around the world, Judith DeLozier, Stephen Gilligan, Jonathan Altfeld, Doug O’Brien and more.
