Digital Native 13-15 year old Movie Making Workshop
Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (PDT)
Palo Alto, CA
PAIFF is able to offer training to interested parties during the festival. This year, we are doing it by age and interest. While there are no required tools or computers (we'll provide tools to learn) if you have experience using iMovie and you have a youtube account, the training will be extra helpful for you. Our instructors are all film makers and practitioners and they will show you the tricks they have learned. Attendees will also receive a Disk with the material from the course.
This course covers the basics of shooting and uploading movies to youtube, but also exposes students to special effects and editing tricks and tips.
When & Where
Palo Alto Int'l Film Festival - Digital Natives
The Palo Alto International Film Festival - Digital Natives Student Program offers films, including class screenings, and interactive workshops for youth ages 6-18. This program is designed to spark creative experimentation, increase media literacy, and introduce a broad range of films to younger audiences. The program selects from among the best contemporary short and feature films. Films screened in the Digital Natives Program are not only good, solid stories, but play with technology. Workshops embolden students to experiment with new film technologies and encourage them to engage in their own innovative pursuits.
