Learn basic programming concepts in this introductory class. This class is aimed at people who have never programmed before, and we'll start by learning our way around Python. We'll cover data types, control flow statements, and a few common libraries used to write programs.

Even if you've ultimately got your sights set on another language, Python is a great place to start programming. This class is geared towards students with no prior programming experience.

Students will need to bring a Mac, Windows, or Linux laptop to class. If you do not own a laptop, please contact us about borrowing one.

You will need to have Python 2.7 installed before class starts. If you'd like help getting set up, please arrive at class an hour early (2 PM) for help installing Python.

Class starts promptly at 3 PM. Once class begins, there may not be anyone available to unlock the downstairs door so please allow enough travel time to arrive by 3.

Taught by Kellbot.
