Dome Dash
Use your Homecoming energy to run (or walk) the second-annual 5K Dome Dash. Join the spirited crowd of runners and walkers at Ericson Field on Saturday morning, then dash (or stroll) past the dome, up the Swanie Slough path, around Westerlin/Erickson, back along the slough, across the footbridge and end on the track. You can mark the event and support Habitat for Humanity with a special Dome Dash T-shirt.
Reunion Picnic on the Sidelines
New for Homecoming 2011! Join your classmates and other Viking football fans for lunch at the edge of the action. Feel the energy just off the playing field, with a picnic on the sidelines right before Saturday’s big game.
Light it Up!
On Saturday night, celebrate Homecoming and the lighting of the dome with dinner and a ceremony in a chandelier-lit tent on the Quad. The special lighting of the new Old Main dome is a gift from the Class of 2001.
Met and Wed Renewal of Marriage Vows
Did you and your spouse follow Augustana tradition and kiss under the bell tower before you married? Or do you simply wish you had? On Sunday morning after the service in Ascension Chapel, Augustana couples may renew their marriage vows in a ceremony led by Pastor Richard Priggie. Kissing under the bell tower is optional.
