Presenter Biographies:

Grant Grable

Grant Grable is a LEED® Accredited Professional and is Vice President, Value Stream Leader for Sunoptics, An Acuity Brands Company, world leader in high performance lighting, controls and prismatic daylighting solutions. He has over 15 years in building energy efficiency experience including daylighting, lighting and control solutions.  He is a published author and international speaker on energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.

Lori Okamoto

Lori Okamoto has been with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District for a little over 3 years.  She is an advocate for the Supplier Diversity Program and promotes contracting opportunities with the District to local small businesses.  

She chairs the Sacramento Public Agency Consortium which includes managers, supervisors and/or buyers from the County, the City, Regional Transit, Housing and Redevelopment, the State, the Asian Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Metro Chamber, Small Business Administration, SCORE, CalTrans and the Business Information Centers.  This consortium meets monthly to discuss ways to leverage agency resources to promote supplier and/or vendor participation and promote supplier awareness of contracting opportunities with local government 

Prior to this, she has over 25 years of experience working for the State of California. She was with the Department of General Services (DGS), Procurement Division for over 8 years.  During this time she has provided workshops and seminars throughout the State on how to do business with the State Government. She coordinated the outreach activities, participated on the Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise Council, Small Business Council and was a reciprocity consultant for the Procurement Division.

Prior to working for DGS, she worked for the Employment Development

Department and the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
