Guides:  Marielle Anzelone, botanist & Executive Director of NYC Wildflower Week and Judith Van Bers NYC bee naturalist

Event Description: In honor of National Pollinator Week, visit the native plant garden in Union Square Park! We will tour the nearly 200 species of plants that are native to the NYC region, review some plant identifications and discuss the importance of native plants for pollinators.  We will also identify some of the garden’s winged visitors and review tips for creating an insect-friendly sustainable garden.
