Bio:

David Moore is a consultant for Digital Primates and has worked with Flash and other web technologies professionally since 1996. His personal development interests lately are in the mobile and tablet arenas, and how Flash can be leveraged on those devices to connect people.

Ross Gerbasi presents:

IntelliJ Actionscript Workflow

In this talk we will look into file structure and organization of an Actionscript project using IntelliJ IDEA. Workflow will focus on a multiple developer project with shared assets across multiple SWF's and/or SWC's. We will look at how structure and organization of a project can not only be cleaner but lead to faster development and better reusability. Finally we will take a look at the features and strengths of IntelliJ IDEA as a development environment. Digging into its code completion, code assistance and ease of deployment and debugging on multiple devices. If you are a Flex RIA dev, Advanced Game Developer, Flash Pro Junkie, Technical Manager or simply a casual actionscripter you will find useful tips and tricks with IntelliJ IDEA and see how you can speed up your workflow. So come on down!

On a side note I do not work for IntelliJ I will not be trying to sell you IntelliJ IDEA. It has simply changed the way I work with Flash Platform projects and we will be discussing how and hopefully opened up for group discussion on comparisons to other IDE's.

That being said, in addition, thanks to the awesomeness that is JetBrains, we will be raffling off a personal license of IntelliJ's IDE (a $199 value)!!!

So come to the Chicago Flex User Group at the ITA, 6/15, food & beverage served starting at 5:30, talks beginning at 6.
