Course Description:
If you’ve been frustrated by newbies constantly looking for feedback and support, or by pressure from the boss to be ‘in the office’ when you can do better work from Starbucks with a latte, this seminar is for you. Never before have so many different generations been asked to work together toward common goals. The ways people from the World War II generation to Generation Y think, feel and communicate vary dramatically and create obstacles. This seminar will help you understand and experience why each generation acts the way they do; how they affect others, how to work with them, and how to sell to them – critical pieces of succeeding in business today. Understand the attributes of the 4 active generations and why they are the way they are Appreciate why nourishing behavior for one generation is aggravating for another Connect to the sales & profit aspects of social networking by understanding the generational seeds that have made it happen Recognize the generational factors changing the way businesses do business and consumers consume Develop the ability to connect with people in a way that works for them, and for you Eliminate the frustration of working with, and selling to, people you just don’t get Larry Mandelberg, Principal, MANDELBERG® Larry Mandelberg, Principal, MANDELBERG®Topics to be covered:

SARTA is committed to engaging members and the regional tech community in quality educational programming. This series of seminars is designed to provide local technology, non technology companies and emerging entrepreneurs with strategic workforce development training. Each session is approximately 3 hours in length and is held at our partner locations across the region. SARTA recruits speakers and panelists from the private sector who have many years of expertise in subject of each seminar.
Drexel University sponsors the Leadership Series because the eleven doctoral and master’s programs it offers at its new Center for Graduate Studies in Sacramento are designed to advance the development of the region’s next generation of leaders, and for the working professional who sees the coming opportunities to step up in their careers.
