In an effort to enhance our leadership around volunteerism, CVNL has been participating in the Service Enterprise Initiative.  Recently, we asked community members to support this initiative by taking the Volunteer and Community Engagement Capacity Survey.  The next step is to gather more focused input and clarify further, nonprofit strategy and use of volunteers. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.  This input will assist in developing support for participants and other nonprofits to strengthen the effective use of volunteers, and becoming what is being know as a “Service Enterprise” (see more details below*). 

This Focus group is open to Executive Directors of Nonprofits.

*Service Enterprises use volunteers to fundamentally increase their ability to achieve their strategic objectives and advance the social mission of their organi­zations. Service Enterprises systemically realign their volunteer engagement practices and realize whole-organization volunteer readiness. By achieving this standard, nonprofits will recognize greater investment of volunteer talent, higher programmatic impact and greater operational efficiencies.  For more information on the Service Enterprise movement, visit www.reimaginingservice.org
